
Both brands have revealed that they will be partnering to launch Bourbon & Bites, a cocktail-meets-doughnut van in the Cocktail Village at London Cocktail Week (Brick Ln, E1 6QL), opening from Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th October.
Created in collaboration between two brands that share a passion for expert craftsmanship, the Maker’s Mark Bourbon & Butterscotch doughnut has been designed to expertly complement the complex flavours of caramel and vanilla that go into Maker’s Mark.
Each handmade doughnut has been created to reflect the craft credentials that Maker’s Mark have followed since 1953, including hand-dipping every bottle in iconic red wax, hand-cutting every label and rotating every barrel by hand to ensure consistent flavour.
Inspired by the brand’s ‘Hand-crafted. Hand in hand’ mantra, the doughnut features Crosstown’s black cocoa sourdough, filled with a Maker’s Mark Bourbon custard to balance its sweet butterscotch glaze. It’s then been topped with a red chocolate cross and nut crumble containing ‘Red Winter Wheat’ – an iconic ingredient used in every bottle of Maker’s Mark instead of traditionally used rye, for a smoother and more gentle taste.
