Wildlife Week is coming to Audley End Miniature railway

Explore the big world of little creatures at Wildlife Week event this summer half term.

Immerse your family back into nature with Audley End Miniature Railway’s NEW “Wildlife
Week” event. Running at the railway during the summer half term from the 29th May until
the 6th June 2021.

The “Wildlife week” event is a chance for children to explore and reconnect with
nature, whilst gaining a wealth of knowledge on the hidden habitats of insects. Young Londoners can explore the hidden world of insects and creatures that can be found in our own back gardens and enjoy the new Nature Corner where young Londoners can learn all about the habitats of different living beings. It is a great opportunity to play in the great outdoors.

You can expect to encounter Bug Hotels, Wormery, Bird Boxes and much more. The team at Audley End have also created a “Wildlife Week” worksheet that will guide you through a variety of topics that can be ticked off throughout the day as you explore nature with your family.

Included in your ticket is a magical journey on the miniature railway which takes you deep
into the ancient woods. Once back in the picnic field you will have the chance to watch one
of the interactive shows over the course of the day, extending your wildlife knowledge even
further. Families can also explore the enchanted Fairy and Elf walk, which winds through the woods
and enables children to spot fairies in their magical handmade woodland homes. Those still
full of energy can let off some steam zooming down slides and climbing through tunnels in
our bespoke railway themed adventure playground.

You can pack a picnic or visit the Woodland café which will be serving locally sourced and homemade food all day.
