Peter Rabbit Easter Adventure is coming to Covent Garden

The Peter Rabbit™ Easter Adventure is coming to London's Covent Garden Piazza this Easter from March 21st to April 16th, and Histrionic Productions couldn't be more excited to announce it.

The event features a blend of live performances and puppetry that transports visitors back to a Covent Garden of old, bursting with fresh flowers, fruit, and vegetables. Beatrix Potter is on a mission to save Jemima Puddle-Duck from Mr. McGregor’s clutches, and families can join her in a 50-minute interactive outdoor adventure that takes them on a quest to search for secret notes, maps, and other clues. Along the way, they’ll meet Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, and a few other surprise characters. Tickets go on sale on February 27th at midday from www.PeterRabbitEasterAdventure.com, and priority access is available by signing up for further information.

The show has been adapted by Calum Finlay, directed by Barney McElholm, and designed by Tina Torbey, who bring their experience from prestigious institutions such as the National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre of Scotland, Shakespeare’s Globe, The Almeida, Theatre Royal Bath, Manchester Royal Exchange, and Birmingham REP to the creative team.

The Easter Adventure Shop will also open in Covent Garden’s iconic Market Building on March 5th, offering Peter Rabbit merchandise, a café, and an activity area featuring a program of fun-filled Easter activities for all the family. Tickets for the show will also be available in store.

Ticket holders will also have access to the “Activity Burrow” for creative crafting for all ages, including letter writing to Beatrix Potter and a Peter Rabbit reading corner. Additional activities on-site include Mr. McGregor’s Obstacle Course for thrill-seekers aged four and up who want to test their driving skills in a mini ROVER, and families can take a souvenir photograph with Peter Rabbit on Mr. McGregor’s tractor.

According to Adam McKenzie Wylie, the founder of Histrionic Productions, “The combination of Peter Rabbit, the inspirational surroundings of London’s original fruit and vegetable market, and Eastertime is perfect theatrical alchemy for an all-new, urban, family, immersive experience for 2023.” The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter has sold over 46 million copies since its first publication over 120 years ago by Frederick Warne, and this all-new experience has been created especially for Covent Garden in association with Penguin Ventures on behalf of Frederick Warne & Co. (now a part of Penguin Random House Children’s UK). Histrionic Productions’ acclaimed Peter Rabbit™ Garden Adventure at Blenheim Palace in the summer of 2022 served as the inspiration for this event.

Tickets are £21 for adults and children ages 2 years and above more info and bookings here.
