Knebworth House and Gardens
Knebworth House and its glorious gardens have reopened for the season, so now’s the perfect time to head over and familiarise or reacquaint yourself with the stunning setting. Pay a visit during the Easter weekend and you’ll be treated to an Easter Trail around the Edwardian gardens, with a special surprise at the end. Between the maze, the dinosaur trail and spring flowers to spy, the kids will love their visit, but add a Medieval Jousting tournament into the mix and you’re in for a fantastic Easter weekend.
The Big Egg Hunt in Hatfield
Hatfield’s stores are concealing some egg-citing treats this holiday. Discover the hidden eggs, note them down and you could be in with a chance of winning an Easter surprise. On 20th April Hatfield Library is the place to go for some cracking crafts – little ones can stop off at the creation station for themed activities, followed by a spring story time. Watford the Wild West
Free fun in the park – sounds like a pretty good spring day out, right? Every day throughout the holidays, Cassiobury Park will be hosting a range of activities for the kids, from drama workshops and crafts sessions, to adventures in the wild west. You’re in for plenty of fun and frolics at Standalone Farm this holiday. Master the hay maze, learn the tricks of the trade with circus skills lessons and don’t forget to go in search of the Easter Bunny on the egg hunt. Fancy getting more hands-on? Broadway Theatre
It’s time to delve into the gruesome truth of the history of Britain at Broadway Theatre with the Horrible Histories show, straight from the West End! Meet Britain’s most infamous characters and the gory tales left out of the history books, with an appearance from King Henry VIII, a peep at Samuel Pepys and the missing headless man and the truth behind Queen Elizabeth I’s teeth. It’s all history, but with the nasty bits left in! Horrible histories.
