Children and young families invited to take part in the Vitality Westminster Mile on Sunday May 26, 2019.

Join in the Active Westminster family run with Mo Fara and enjoy free activities at the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park on Sunday May 26th 2019.

Everyone Active, which operates seven leisure centres across Westminster in partnership with Westminster City Council, is inviting its members and visitors to join the Active Westminster family wave. As well as the run, families can enjoy free activities at the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park, including Animal Fu kids fitness sessions, face painting and boxing fitness tasters for youngsters and adults run by London Sport, hosted by Everyone Active.

The event will see Sir Mo Farah and Lord Sebastian Coe join thousands of runners – from beginners to elite athletes and youngsters to the elderly – at the world’s most iconic mile, starting on The Mall and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.

In addition, there will be a mascot race featuring Bee Active, Everyone Active’s very own loveable, cuddly mascot. All are invited to share the event with other local families by joining the Active Westminster Family Wave.

Andy Davison, Everyone Active Westminster Contract Manager, says: “The Vitality Westminster Mile is an event that champions our priorities of offering fun activity and family participation. This is an ideal event for our London members and visitors and we are looking forward to running alongside youngsters and their parents in the Active Westminster Family Wave.”

“We are delighted to be joining forces once again with Everyone Active in the Active Westminster Wave and are looking forward to bringing together schoolchildren and families to run the Vitality Westminster Mile,” says Ian Bannister, Relationship Officer – Sport at Active Westminster.  “This promises to be a great day out for families over the Bank Holiday weekend and we hope people will take up the chance to join the fun and run with Mo.”

Race entry is just £8 for adults (18 and over) and £6 for 12-17-year-olds with a £1 reduction for Westminster residents. Entry is free for children aged 11 and under sign up here to take part.
