Boomtown Festival 7-11 August 2019: a family friendly extravaganza

Boomtown is back with a stellar line-up and lots to keep little ones busy.

Boomtown is an epic festival – a whole city dedicated to partying in Hampshire with a line-up that includes names such as Black Sun Empire, Boys Noize, Lauryn Hill, The Streets, Groove Armada and loads more. Expect heaps of entertainment, colourful outfits and loads of fun zones for the whole family.

Take a trip into the psychedelic forest or party in Boomtown Bohemia where the circus has taken over the town or check out the new Relic stage for 2019 where you can drop some shapes to a heavyweight line-up spanning decades and sub genres of drum & bass.

Make sure you visit the Lion’s Den, the temple that dominates the skyline with an inferno of flames, lasers and cascading waterfalls set against the backdrop of reggae, dancehall, dub and roots. Become a true Boomtown citizen as you skank and whine to your heart’s content.

Theres also family fun for those that rave with their offspring with the organisers placing a lot of effort in their kid’s field where during the day interactive stories transport you to Boomtown’s version of Narnia. There’s treasure hunts and baby yurts (where you can chill out with the youngest festival goers), a science tent to get your education dose or if you prefer to catch a show there’s theatre and performances which toddlers, teenagers and adults can all enjoy. There are also Circus acts, and family discos from the likes of FUNDMC, Big Fish Little Fish and Junior Jungle with musical styles ranging from hip-hop to club classics (and everything in between) plus theres loads of crafts and arts.

If you haven’t booked your tickets yet – get booking here as this hotly-anticipated event on the festival calendar for 2019 is sure to sell out soon.
