Unity Arts festival takes place on the 21st and 22nd of September and is filled with workshops, performances and exhibitions on Leamouth Peninsula. Last year the public took part in everything from ceramics to puppetry, street dance to ballet, and parkour to choir.
In association with Open House and Totally Thames, Unity Arts Festival is a celebration of creativity in one of east London’s most exciting new neighbourhoods, uniting London City Island and Goodluck Hope through arts and culture with exhibitions, installations and family friendly fun. Highlight events include a series of artistry and expressive ballet workshops (where kids are welcome), dress rehearsals and guided tours at the English National Ballet’s new headquarters, film screenings run by soon-to-be tenants London Film School and animation workshops with resident Tim Allen, creative behind the likes of Isle of Dogs and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Unity Arts Festival brings together three communities – London City Island, Trinity Buoy Wharf and Good Luck Hope. Our purpose is to bridge these rapidly expanding communities through the arts. Together, we will explore the new and exciting spaces and possibilities that Leamouth Peninsula has to offer. All are welcome and tickets are free.
