Poplar Union will be keeping audiences entertained, connected and inspired from the comfort of their homes.
Poplar Union are using their Instagram and Facebook channels to provide weekly, interactive workshops and activities for their followers.
This includes a Monday Yoga session with Sarah Anderson, live on their Instagram page; a Family Art Club where they share a video tutorial on their Facebook page every Tuesday, made by PU’s very own Art Director to get families crafting with materials they’ll have at home.
Every Wednesday there will be a morning meditation session from Micki Ramondt on Instagram Live to help people relax and reconnect; tips from the Poplar Union team every Thursday, sharing ideas of things to do at home.
Every Friday evening there will be a music showcase on Instagram Live, including an open mic session where they invite people to send in a live video performance, sharing the submissions on the 4th Friday of the month, as well as an hour long, monthly showcase from Play For Progress’s Allies in Arts musicians playing live every 3rd Friday of the month.
Every Saturday they’ll share a drawing tutorial made by their Art Class tutor providing people a creative outlet during the weekend; and on Sundays, it’s book club with a chance to discuss a new book each fortnight via their Instagram.
Where applicable, donation links are provided throughout their online programme giving audiences and participants the opportunity to donate whatever they can afford to those who are running the sessions.
Poplar Union are encouraging their audiences to stay in touch; people can contact them via email and all social media channels with any feedback, suggestions of what they’d like to see from their digital engagement, or just to say hi!
