Queen’s House Ice Rink Returns to Greenwich UNESCO World Heritage Site

One of London’s most picturesque ice rinks is returning for autumn and winter2021 to the grounds of Royal Museums Greenwich.

At the Queen’s House ice rink, young Londoners and their families will have the opportunity to skate in the surrounds of a UNESCO World Heritage site. An unforgettable experience to share with your little Londoners, friends or family.

The only outdoor ice rink in South London is open every day (apart from Christmas Day) from 18 November – 9 January. Sessions will run from 10am-9pm on peak days and 11am-9pm off peak. You’ll be able to take in the beautiful surroundings of Greenwich Park to the south of the rink and the glittering lights of Canary Wharf to the north. If you just want to soak up the atmosphere as family and friends skate you can also enjoy a range of winter warmers and watch from the side of the rink.

If you want to make a day of it, there is so much more to see and do – from visiting the award-winning Cutty Sark, to standing on the world-famous Prime Meridian, or doing some Christmas shopping in the museum shops or at Greenwich Market. With easy transport links, Greenwich is just 8 minutes from London Bridge, or arrive by boat along the River Thames.  Royal Museums Greenwich also has parking available for those who would prefer to drive to the rink.

Prices for a skating session including skate hire start from £8.50 for a child and £15.00 for an adult.  Skate aids are available to hire for children. For more information, FAQs and to buy tickets, visit www.rmg.co.uk/skate
