Moco Museum is coming to London this August

Moco Museum, renowned for its vibrant and unapologetically artistic approach to contemporary culture, is eagerly preparing to introduce an impressive lineup of artists to London this August. Among the featured artists are luminaries such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yayoi Kusama, Andy Warhol, Banksy, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Daniel Arsham, and KAWS, each pivotal in shaping modern and contemporary art.

Situated in a new 24,000ft² space spanning three floors in the heart of London, between Oxford Street, Marble Arch, and Hyde Park, this permanent addition promises to enrich the city’s cultural landscape. Following the museum’s successes in Amsterdam and Barcelona, where it has welcomed over 5 million visitors from 120 different nations, Moco Museum aims to captivate Londoners and global visitors alike.

The museum’s offerings will include new artworks, large-scale digital installations, and extraordinary masterpieces that capture the essence of modern and contemporary art. This new chapter in London’s cultural journey underscores Moco’s dedication to exhibiting iconic works by internationally renowned artists alongside emerging talents.

Founded by Lionel and Kim Logchies, with over 50 years of combined experience in the art world, Moco Museum is driven by a mission to inspire through art. Their curated collection, comprising both acquired and loaned pieces, brings art that would otherwise remain in private collections to public view.

Visitors to Moco Museum will embark on a journey through several thematic areas. The ‘Moco Masters’ collection features works from renowned figures like Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Yayoi Kusama, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, and others. Moving to the ‘Moco Contemporary Masters’ floor, guests will encounter works by Tracey Emin, KAWS, Banksy, Julian Opie, and more, including pieces from Robbie Williams’ personal collection addressing mental health.

The lower ground floor offers an immersive experience with digital artworks by artists such as Pilar Zeta, Andrés Reisinger, Anthony James, and Don Diablo, creating a captivating blend of art and technology. Finally, visitors can browse the Moco store, offering a curated selection of memorabilia and artworks.

With its debut in London, Moco Museum aims to continue its legacy of sparking conversation and inspiring creativity through art, reinforcing its role as a cultural beacon in the heart of the city.
