This free one-day-only event is not just a great opportunity to wear your best wizarding attire and immerse yourself in all things magic but it is also a great way for your friends and family to fully enjoy an experience like no other. From enchanting games and spellbinding photo opportunities to cupcake tasting and magical prizes to checking out the coolest merchandise from the world of Harry Potter, there is something to amaze and amuse fans of all ages.

What to expect at Harry Potter’s birthday celebrations
Sign Harry’s giant birthday card: each guest can leave a special birthday wish for Harry Potter!
Guess how many Hogwarts House jellybeans challenge: use your divination powers to win a spectacular prize!
Face painting: complete your look for the day with a special Harry Potter themed face paint art.
Photo opportunities: make great photographic memories in the special Harry’s Birthday Celebration photobooth. Guests will also have the chance to pose with a LEGO big build of Harry Potter himself!
Family-friendly things to do in London this July 2025
Harry Potter cupcake tasting: no birthday party is complete without a cake, and these one day-special treats are truly spellbinding! Full-sized cupcakes, courtesy of Lola’s Cupcakes, are guaranteed to add plenty of delicious charm, each topped with familiar symbols like the golden snitch, the sorting hat, the Harry Potter logo, or a chocolate frog. We expect them to be very popular!
Costumes from the West End production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are guaranteed to inspire and make you curious about this great show.
Prizes and giveaways: no party is complete without prizes and surprises so many will be awarded through the day from the likes of LEGO and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for creative costumes, guest participation or for completing the stamps on the special birthday-themed card .
Where and when?
The Harry Potter birthday celebration pop-up will take place on 31 July 2025 at 15 Bateman Street, London, W1D 3AQ. The event will be ticketed with free timed entry tickets for slots between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
The free tickets come on a first come, first served basis and will be available to book from 11am on Thursday 17 July via DesignMyNight website.… they are expected to go faster than a Golden Snitch!
A very limited standby queue will be available on the day for those who miss out, but please note this does not guarantee entry. Keep an eye on www.harrypotter.com for more details on when tickets become available.
