The festival offers a vibrant programme of shows, workshops and events for children of all ages throughout this August, featuring award-winning puppet theatre companies from across the UK.

From laugh-out-loud comedies to delicate marionettes and imaginative object theatre, this festival is a great opportunity to introduce the children to the joy, creativity and wonder of puppetry in all its forms. This year’s programme comes with plenty of new and traditional productions showcasing emerging talent and stories from around the world.
Check out below the list of festival shows we think you and your little ones will enjoy! The festival runs from 8 to 31 August and alongside the puppet shows there are many family workshops where you and your little ones can create ice cream and ice-lolly puppets, make a bug puppet or just craft, create, and perform with puppets. And best of all, if you or someone you know has an interest in the art of puppetry, there are some interesting adult puppetry courses too.
