Witches, Skeletons and Talking Frogs: Halloween Magic hits Kensington this October 2025

Two characters posing in front of a 'Trick or Treat' display, one with green hair and striped clothing, the other in a formal outfit with a top hat, both smiling and engaging with the camera.

Get ready, London High Street Kensington is about to get delightfully weird. This October half-term (24–31 October 2025), the area transforms into London’s Home of Halloween, packed with family-friendly fun, free trails, spooky shows, and fabulously freaky happenings.

The highlight? On All Hallows’ Eve (31 October, 4–7pm), Holland Park will morph into the Playful Park of the Peculiar — a surreal Halloween playground filled with costumed characters, glow-in-the-dark hula hoopers, a 9ft dancing skeleton, and even a talking frog ready to grant your spooky wishes. Expect surreal installations, interactive games, and plenty of Insta-worthy moments.

All week long, follow a Halloween trail through Kensington’s shops, discover hidden treats, and join themed activities — from hair-raising Discovery Days in Hyde Park (28–30 Oct) to a Goth-inspired Vintage Flea Market (25 Oct) for those hunting for the perfect costume.

Don’t miss:
🕸️ Haunted at Sambourne House (31 Oct) – a candlelit Victorian tour with ghostly tales.
🐶 The Great Kensington Dog Parade (31 Oct) – spooky pups strut for charity.
Halloween afternoon tea at The Milestone Hotel – a family favourite with themed cocktails for grown-ups.
🎨 Design Museum Halloween workshops – creepy crafts and late-night exhibitions.

And if you’re planning a grown-up night out, Gallery, Kensington’s new late-night club, is hosting costume contests, themed DJ sets, and hidden surprises.
