Londoners, the festive season has officially begun!
Standing three metres tall, the ice Advent Calendar hid 24 magical prizes behind icy windows — from exclusive preview night tickets to VIP Winter Wonderland experiences and even an overnight stay in a luxury London Hilton suite.
From 10am, lucky visitors had the chance to literally smash open the ice to reveal their festive surprises. Expect everything from ice sculpting workshops and circus show packages to ride tokens, food vouchers, and that all-important access to London’s ultimate Christmas playground.
A spokesperson for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland said:
“We wanted to kick off the festive countdown in a truly unforgettable way. Everyone loves the anticipation of an Advent Calendar — and we’ve turned that excitement into a real-life, icy challenge.”
The much-loved Hyde Park Winter Wonderland officially opens its glittering gates on 14 November 2025, running through to 1 January 2026. Expect the UK’s largest open-air ice rink, the Magical Ice Kingdom, Santa Land, and more festive cheer than you can shake a candy cane at.
