Red heels and royal flavours: The Ultimate ‘Kinky Boots’ show and dining experience

If you’re planning to catch the high-kicking award winning sensation Kinky Boots during its strictly limited run at the London Coliseum, don’t just settle for a standard pre-theatre sandwich but go for the ultimate dining adventure that matches the sparkle on stage.

A glass of red wine next to a plate of three golden brown croquettes garnished with green leaves and a small dollop of sauce.

This season, the Tony and Olivier Award-winning musical Kinky Boots has partnered with the opulent Colonel Saab luxury Indian restaurant in Trafalgar Square to celebrate this new production by creating the ultimate sensory experience that celebrates the journey of Charlie Price and the fabulous Lola.

Just a one-minute sashay from the theatre, this collaboration offers the ultimate West End dining and show experience through a colourful and delicious menu that allows theatre goers to taste the story before they see it.

A taste of the “Land of Lola”

For £75, diners can indulge in a four-course theatrical menu designed to mirror the uplifting spirit of the show. The experience kicks off with a KINKY BOOTS cocktail—a vibrant, whisky-based blend of elderflower, pomegranate, and raspberry that’s as bold as a drag queen’s entrance.

The menu pays homage to Cyndi Lauper’s sensational score with cleverly named dishes:

  • Amuse Bouche: the“Sex is in the Heelis an architectural delight featuring guava cone heels and tamarind chutney.
  • Starters: indulge in the “Land of Lola” – Jimikand and Beetroot Tikki for a burst of colour and spice.
  • Mains: options include the fiery “Everybody Say Yeah” (Beef Pepper Fry) and the comforting “Hold Me In Your Heart” baby aubergine curry.
  • Dessert: wrap things up with the “Raise You Up” —a sweet symphony of Rabri Chantilly cream and pineapple jalebi.

Once you’ve finished your feast, strut over to the Coliseum to witness Johannes Radebe and Matt Cardle breathe new life into this beloved true story. Directed by Nikolai Foster, the production is a whirlwind of heart, humour, and spectacular choreography that explores what happens when we stop judging and start listening.

In a city full of dinner-and-a-show options, this partnership between Colonel Saab and Kinky Boots stands head and shoulders (and heels) above the rest.

Why go: the only thing that ads extra glamour to seeing Lola on stage is to indulge in the pre-show menu inspired by her land of colour.
