Set to the expansive, emotionally charged score of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, Five Days in the Sun is a choreographic celebration of human connection, warmth, and vitality. Marking a significant chapter in choreographer Emanuel Gat’s 30-year career, Five Days in the Sun is a new work set to Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, composed 125 years ago.

A meeting of Mahler and movement
Performed by a new company of 12 international dancers, the piece unfolds across five acts, tracing a layered choreographic journey of transformation, resilience and catharsis.
Emanuel Gat, who directs, choreographs, and designs the lighting and scenography, transforms Mahler’s monumental music into an intimate space shared between performers and audience. Dancers move across the stage, navigating shifting light sources and vibrant costumes created by fashion label VICHER creating moments of shared ecstasy and quiet reflection.
