FarmFest is an intimate festival set in the heart of an organic farm in the Somerset countryside. As well as the genre-defying selection of music with acts (including Morcheeba, Craig Charles and the Portico Quartet), organisers promise a reinvigorated programme of activities for the youngsters (and the young at heart) inspired by the arrival of two more babies into the FarmFest family during their year off.
We love a good family friendly festival and 2019 at FarmFest is about the Wild & Wonderful, with a packed programme for all the wildlife warriors, eco explorers and magical mischief-makers to really get stuck in to. The Kids’ Kingdom is forever bursting at the seams with arts and crafts activities for toddlers to tweenies and this year will be no exception. With make-and-take sessions, musical puppet sing-alongs, classic story based interactive workshops, magic shows, discos and so much more, there’s plenty for little ones to explore. It’s just a hop, skip and jump from the family campsite, overlooking The Green where the annual Farmfest Hat Competition takes place.
Confirmed activities for 2019 include award winning Brave Bold Drama’s theatre workshops, Kiddies’ Kung-Fu and Flotsams the Fool’s Circus skills, and Ras King Bobo’s music sessions for a slice of rhythmic sunshine.
