Create Art, Create Change- Fundraising Art Workshop for kids

Art Play has teamed up with Ripple Africa and Phillips Gallery to create an extra special workshop to help make a positive difference to children in Malawi.

In September 2019 Art Play went to Malawi to give children there an insight to the Art Play experience. Schools in Malawi have large class sizes, between 80-120 children per class, with no basic resources or any teaching materials. The schools are often under-staffed and under-funded, creating extremely challenging conditions for teachers and students alike. Help us fundraise vital funds for tables, chairs, books and pencils.

During the workshop you will travel to a traditional Malawian Village surrounded by Malawian music, African huts and African baobao trees. Children will be adding lots of colour to the village as well as making djembe drums, sunset fabric paintings, sweet potato printing and adding their hand cut out to our gratefulness tree. There will also be plenty of volunteers around to help.

The workshop costs £30 and is taking place on Sunday 1st of March from 11am until 2pm at Phillips, 30 Berkeley Square, Mayfair, London W1J 6EN. More info and bookings here.
