Family friendly festivals are what makes summer joyful but 2020 has come along and cancelled every festival we had planned for this year (we even scrapped our top picks for 2020). So when we found Bubble and Bop festival for only £10 per person we had to give it a go.
We packed ourselves in the car and drove the one hour towards Marsh farm adventure park in Essex not quite sure what to expect and were more than delighted by the offering on the day.

There’s animals and mini golf, inflatable bouncy castles, a swimming pool, socially distanced discos, ride on tractors, a not so easter egg hunt a massive sandpit and two great play spaces for children of all ages (a heads up that one at the back is the better and newer of the two).
We played and bounced, danced and giggled, fed the goats and admired the fish, got muddy and foamy and still we felt like we could have spent longer at the farm (but after 5 hours of play the adults were ready for wine a clock.)

In terms of Covid-19 measures they have gone the extra mile to ensure everything is kept clean and people are encouraged to keep their distance. There are plenty of opportunities to wash hands and apply hand sanitisers, the rides are sprayed with dettol after every turn (and capacity has been reduced). The indoor disco has reduced capacity with families only allowed to break some moves in their allocated squares and the mini golf ensures that golf clubs are cleaned after every use.

The sound of music, children playing and plenty of fun activities ensures that Marsh Farm’s Bubble and Bop is a brilliant family day out at a bargain price of £10 per person. Food in the venue is also reasonably priced, although we also brought a picnic. Bubble and Bop is on until 5th of September and tickets can be booked in advance via their website here.
