Marugame Udon opens new site in Canary Wharf

Marugame Udon has opened a new site in Canary Wharf and its a great way for families to experience a taste of Japan’s favourite hand-made udon.

Marugame Udon, Canary Wharf, London. Restaurant Grand Opening.

The restaurant operates on a self service basis where you collect a tray and choose your dish. Children will love seeing how the fresh Udon noodles are made right in front of their eyes and enjoy picking their own tempura in real life (buffet style, rather than from a menu).

We got our taste buds tingling as we ordered a Beef Nikutama with caramelised onions and a poached egg. The kid tried a chicken katstu rice bowl and adored the tempura pumpkin koroke side which was super flavoursome.

There is a customisation station as well where you add all your favourite spices and condiments. Plus they have unlimited frozen yoghurt too. They also offer Chibi Kids meals where kids can enjoy a small bowl, a juice (or can of water) and an apple. Available for dine in only for children aged 11 and under. Meals include Kids plain udon, kids beek nikutama at £4.95. Find the full menu here.
