Dog lovers in southeast London are in for a treat this May as the Old Royal Naval College hosts its first-ever Greenwich Dog Show on Sunday 28th May. The event, sponsored by a local company, is free for all to attend, but there is a £5 entry fee per dog, per category, for those wishing to participate in the competition.
The event promises to be a fun-filled day out for both dogs and humans, with 10 categories to compete in, including Best Dressed Pooch and Cutest Pup. Registration for the dog show begins at 10:30 am, and the competition starts at 11 am. The judges will announce their choices for Judge’s Choice and Best in Show at 2:30 pm.
In addition to the competition, there will be plenty of activities for dogs and their owners to enjoy, such as exploring the historic site, buying treats from dog supply stalls, and grabbing a bite to eat from the dog-friendly pub, The Old Brewery. Visitors can also indulge in face painting and live music, and enjoy dog-friendly afternoon teas in the Colonnades.
