Instrumental in promoting football as a key social and cultural activity across London, the LFA has unveiled an ambitious new four-year strategy, ‘London For All’.
Emphasising inclusivity, improved facilities and community engagement, the key goals of the 4-year strategy include improving playing choice and experience for all by embracing different football formats, developing and growing disability football – to over 900 participants – and delivering equal opportunities for women and girls to play by growing female participation to nearly 13,000.
The LFA is also undertaking to enhance infrastructure by supporting nine new 3G pitches and upgrading 336 grass pitches. It also intends to strengthen grassroots networks by growing its workforce to 1,444 referees, 5,800 volunteers and 5,360 coaches.
Whether through 11-a-side matches or shorter game formats, the goal of ‘London For All’ is to ensure football remains accessible to all, across every corner of the capital.
