London Zoo invites visitors of all ages to join the Zoo’s elves in preparing for a Christmas packed with fun and educational activities, festive animal talks and elf storytelling.
From curious humboldt penguins enjoying their fishy treats at London Zoo’s Penguin Beach to the most adorable capybara duo Gizmo and Kiwi and their new luxurious spa, the Zoo has plenty of entertainment going on during this festive season.
Spend a very merry day discovering the hundreds of species that call London Zoo home with Find the Hiding Elves Trail to learn about the animals (and to find the noughty Elfs) or have a go at making something memorable at one of the Christmas crafts sessions.

Keep your eyes peeled because Santa will be sneaking around the Zoo, feeding animals and spreading the Christmas cheer! If your little detectives catch a glimpse of him, they’ll receive an “I Spotted Santa” sticker. Reserve your spot to meet Santa at the ZOO!
Families can journey through a festive wonderland to post a Christmas letter and take a tour of Elves’s many tiny residences around the Zoo. Can you be able to spot all of their tiny front doors?
And no visit at the Zoo is complete without a visit to ZooTown, the brand new indoor role play adventure for kids aged 3-8.
This immersive role play experience opens up a vibrant world of possibilities as children get to learn new skills, and delight in engaging with an exciting array of costumes and toys.
London Zoo’s Magic of Christmas events are running until Sunday 4 January, with activities including a hidden elves trail, Christmas-inspired animal talks and elf-led storytelling sessions, all included with zoo-entry. Book online now!
